You want the picture to contain something in the house, without giving away what that item is. Then allow the child to go around the house, looking for where the item is located at. You can write out a play that you or just the little ones can do. The children will have fun, acting out this play. If you have trouble coming up with a script, then you can search online. You can also find different household items and place them on a table. Blindfold one child at a time and escort him or her to the table of items. Allow the child to feel the different items and see how many he or she could identify correctly. Do this with every participant, and the one who gets the most right wins.
Treasure hunt is also a great activity that can be played, both indoors or outdoors. List several items that you know can be found either inside the house or outside. Then hand out these list to all the children who are participating. The person who finds all the items on their list first wins.
