10 Best Car Subwoofers

By Scott Carrigan

Give it some thought - the last time you read a post regarding the Best Car Subs was never! This article breaks it down and punches it in your face.

Power Acoustik MOFO Series If you've never heard of MOFO series you must be a BIG MOFO! Vast, hefty, well-built, mighty subwoofers that could flex your windows whenever you give them brain-shaking watts. Their royal blue surface may give them the appeal of looking gorgeous - they'll force air harder than a storm.

Their 15" version handles 1700 watts RMS - grip firmly because all you will require is one of these bad boys to out-do your friend's systems utilizing a pair of subs.

DB Drive K9 Series The red outline surrounding the cone needs to have a line through it - Danger, bass amounts could range high enough to induce your heart to skip a beat. The K9 10D4, their 10" model, manages a powerful 1000 watts RMS. A dual sub box, several K9 10D4's and you're simply feeling some of the loudest bass you have ever noticed.

The light switches red, and other motorists close to you are now acknowledging that DB should stand for DAMN BASS!

Boss Audio OutKast Series If this is the first instance you are learning about Boss Audio, maybe it's time you described yourself a newbie to car audio. Boss Audio continues hammering the avenues with bass since way back when.

They have just recently received a spot installing systems on the well known TV program Over Haulin'. But we should get to the subwoofer! The L12 is a 12" model that looks more beastly versus bigfoot. Their look is identical to a bike gang - not taking crap from any person! Provide a single one of these subwoofers with 1000 watts RMS power and you may be looking all over to see the number of individuals may be observing you.

Pyle Audio Dryver Series These 12" Dryver Series subs are very sincere when it comes to producing bass. They had to exchange the "i" with a "y" in Dryver because "y" have you never examined these subwoofers before this? And that is enough said - be aware of their brand new Lanzar Optidrive 12" high power subwoofer, available soon. We all agree that 3000 watts RMS power handling is a leap over extreme. Yet it is terrific to see Pyle Audio stepping up in a major manner.

Planet Audio BIG BANG Series BIG BANG - what was that? A vehicle cruising by using BIG BANG subs that ought to be in your car! With 1500 watts RMS power handling being their leader within this series, not surprising why they've every right to call them BIG BANG. Forget putting a pair of these in your trunk - only one is needed to establish a new BIG BANG theory.

Kicker SOLOX Series Unlike the other subs earlier on, and below, the SOLOX 18" subwoofer is square designed providing it more cone area than similar 18" round subwoofers. There aren't a lot of 18"ers. Kicker has put this subwoofer on a level of it's own. Have a ball spending funds for an amplifier, or amps, to power a sub that's effective at swallowing 5000 watts RMS.

MTX Thunder 9500 Series Their 12" and 15" versions can both handle 1000 watts RMS which will certainly produce a major degree of excursion (shake your hand in front of your face several inches apart extremely fast and this will give you an idea). MTX's Asymmetrical Linear Drive System allow these subwoofers to create high output with reduced distortion. The magnet weight is above 16 pounds - it truly is hefty.

Pioneer Champion Series PRO If you do not see too many Pioneer subwoofers in your buddy's vehicles - they must not have searched hard enough to pinpoint a sub that is "PRO SHOW" - this isn't entry level. 1000 watts RMS handling power and their Wide-Roll 3-Layer Fiber Radial Surround produces clear and tight bass - the lows are gettin' deep also. Their recommended enclosures are .5 to 1.0 cubic feet, indicating you don't require a large number of trunk area.

Orion HCCA Series Should you prefer a subwoofer to bang your brain in, the HCCA subwoofer has been dealt with head-to-head with some of the subwoofers in this posting, and destroyed them. A massive excursion around 4" - more excursion, much more bass. It won't get greater than that!

MTX JackHammer And then there's King Kong - as large as 24". There's simply too much to feature concerning this sub - view it for yourself. A 900oz magnet, it stands two feet tall and handles 4000 watts RMS. The biggest, baddest sub on the globe!
