Extended Wearing Doesn't Harm The Ears - Cool Headphones Review

By Sophia Martinez

On the other hand, if the earphone charging station and transmitter were separated, I guess they might both need AC power, which would increase the cost of the unit. There is also a split-second delay between the time you hear something on the TV speakers, and the time you hear the same thing on the headphones. The ONLY thing they need is a remote, as the control buttons are too close together making adjustments difficult while on your head. They are very comfortable and can be worn for extended lengths of time.

They are however vented so you can still hear load external noises like your wife yelling at you to turn the TV off. I've had these for a month or so now.

Once opened, it's clear that the makers thought of everything; from the various country-specific power adapters, to the cord organizer. You will not be left wanting with these headphones. That song being the wonderful Nature Boy by Nenna Freelon. I know this is cliched, but I literally heard notes that I never heard before. The RS 180s, once set up, sound fantastic. They are very high-quality. Finally someone delivers and stands up to all the promises. After opening the box I was quite pleased with the build quality and color.

I am very pleased with them and would recommend this model as they are updated and perfected to give the buyer a good quality for the $. The week I purchased them they were 50.00 less in price and I don't know how I lucked out, but I paid under 300.00. Very comfortable and out on patio with great volume. The grandkids can I watch TV.

For active applications such as gaming or playing an instrument, however, these are out of the question. I am sure I have not even explored all this headphone set can do.

Now for the big complaint I have, and a reason why I will probably return the 180's in spite of all its good points. There is a slight out-of-phase problem with the source sound. I purchased these wireless headphones for quiet listening late at night so I would not disturb other people. I have used the wired Sennheiser HD 414 headphones for the last 20+ years and have had zero problems with them.

These cans utilize Kleer technology and an open design. I always preferred open headphones for the more natural bass response and to my 50 year old ears these sound great. You can't go wrong with Sennheiser! We replaced a cheaper item with the Sennheiser RS 180 Digital Wireless Headphone System.
