Best Headphones Ever - Infrared Wireless Headphones Review

By Natalie Williams

We partially solved that by putting a small foam pad on the on/off button (thus separating the volume buttons). But why should we have had to invent a solution?

I get perfect reception in 97 percent of my two story house and most of the back yard. They make house work a LOT less boring.

With the 130's, which I have used for years, this does not exist. If I'm wearing the 130's and the TV is on, I only hear the sound from the 130's. You will venture forth into a new world of audio pleasure. If the Sennheiser RS-180 was a painting it would be a masterpiece by Kandinsky or Dali; a sculpture, La Pieta via Michelangelo, a song, something by Lennon & McCartney. I'm not a big fan of the button system though. For one, you shouldn't have to press two buttons to turn it on.

I haven't listened to anything that would test the sound quality tremendously, but what I have listened to is fine. It may be a little light on bass effects in movies, but OK for music.

We use Sennheiser products (mics) in our Rock Band and the performance is consistent and high-end quality. I would recommend this product to others. The controls (volume up, volume down, and balance) are small and right next to one another, and I can't imagine trying to use them with the phones on. It's very easy to hit the wrong button. Let me just say that he hasn't found the magical area where the sounds begins to fade. One of the best features of these headphones is that they are open, so even though nobody can hear what he is listening to, he can still hear what's going on around him.

I have used the Sennheiser RS-130 for the past 4 years, and the surround sound was incredible and delicious. My main uses are for Blu-ray movies and late night TV viewing as to not disturb any neighbors, plus it's an intimate experience without any street noise.

They're not inexpensive, but they work (for me) really well. I purchased these for my step-father. If I did this, I could not hear the TV. The Sennheiser RD180 has solved all our problems. He is one of the most critical individuals you have ever met when it comes to hearing vocals and music. At the youthful age of 81 we had tried just about everything to accommodate his auditory sensitivities. I live in an urban area, yet I hear no interference in these wireless headphones. They are expensive, but I would buy again.
