Kim Kardashian has filed suit against the clothing giant 'Old Navy' with a $20 million.

American socialite, television personality, model, and actress Kimberly Noel "Kim" Kardashian has filed suit against the clothing giant 'Old Navy' with a $20 million. The celeb apparently takes issue with an uncanny look-alike that the retailer is using in an ad campaign. A video of a broadcast ad featuring a smiling, dark-haired woman who bears a resemblance to the real Kardashian has been viewed more than two million times on Old Navy's YouTube channel.

The company even tweeted about the Kim twin: "@CBSNEWS reports that Old Navy's Super CUTE star looks like @kimkardashian. #LOL."

Kim's attorney, Gary Hecker, filed the federal lawsuit against Old Navy in U.S. Disctrict Court bright and early this morning, over the retailer's "unauthorized use of Kardashian's name, likeness, identity and persona."

In addition to compensatory and punitive damages—which a source tells E! News could total up to $20 million—Kim is also seeking an injuction against the company for the alleged violations.

"I've worked hard to support the products I'm personally involved with that I believe in," Kim said. So why after waiting so long is she only now filing suit? Well, it's not a pride thing—despite the fact that the ad's Kim doppelgänger, Melissa Molinaro, is now rumored to have coupled up with none other than Kardashian ex Reggie Bush.

No, as any good businesswoman can tell you, it's not personal—it's just business. Specifically, the business the Kardashians went into with Sears last year. You don't get to be worth $65 million by not looking out for your sponsors, after all.

"It could ruin her relationship with Sears if she's affiliated with Old Navy," a source explained. "To protect her image, she had to file a lawsuit. She doesn't even mention Melissa in the lawsuit. He name is not even in it. The commercial came out in February and Old Navy was tweeting that she looked 'just like Kim K!'"

On the other hand the representative of Old Navy told E! News, "We have not seen any legal filing/received any such lawsuit, so we cannot comment."

Kim Kardashian, full name Kimberly Noel Kardashian, 30, a reality TV star announced her engagement to Kris Humphries, 26, NBA's New Jersy Nets forward get engaged with a dramatic proposal. At her Beverly Hills home on May 18, when Kim came into her bedroom  and found Kris on one knee with "Will you marry me?" spelled out in rose petals on the floor.

Humphries presented Kim with a 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring.

"I didn't expect this at all," the 30-year-old star told People . "I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now." The two were dating for six months after they got chance to know one another quite very closely. Following the proposal, the couple celebrated with the entire Kardashian clan - and a two four-legged friends!

"Kris really didn't want a big celebration, but he had jokingly told my mom he'd be fine if there were mini-horses there," Kim told the mag. "Later that night at the party, my mom brought out two mini-horses, covered in glitter, for us! It was hysterical!"

On Wednesday morning, Kim's family hit Twitter to congratulate the happy couple. "I can't believe I was able to keep this a secret but now I can scream all I want about it! Kim is engaged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!," Khloe Kardashian, who has her own NBA beau in husband Lamar Odom, Tweeted.

Sister Kourtney Kardashian wrote, "My sister is engaged!!! I'm squealing with excitement! The princess has found her prince. I am so happy because @KimKardashian is happy!" Mom Kris Jenner added, "YIIPPEEE SO HAPPY!!!!!... Congratulations Kim and Kris!!! @kimkardashian is engaged."

Kimberly Noel "Kim" Kardashian (born October 21, 1980)  is the daughter of late attorney Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner (mother) and is known for a sex tape with her former boyfriend Ray J as well as her E! reality series. Kardashian has launched multiple fragrances, guest starred on numerous shows, competed on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, and has had roles in movies such as Disaster Movie and Deep in the Valley. In 2010, Kardashian, along with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, released an autobiography, Kardashian Konfidential, and plan to launch their own fashion line. 

She married Damon Thomas in 2000 and became separated in 2004. Kris Humphrise will be her second spouse.

Gossip Kim Turns Tears Into Cheers

Although recently eliminated from Dancing with the Stars, Kim Kardashian looked as happy as ever as she and boyfriend Reggie Bush stayed close at the Hennessy artistry MIAMI concert Saturday night. In town to watch Bush and his Saints play, the two arrived in a white Range Rover and drank Hennessy mojitos throughout the night, although Bush chose to drink only one because of his game the following day. Smart choice.

Gossip One Last Look at Sundance

As Sundance wrapped up yesterday, and the celebs began to vacate Park City, here are a few pictures to remember the film festival of '08.


Paris Hilton jams on the drums at the Velvet Relvolver convert, where she played host for the evening at the 944 magazine party at TAO Park City. Hilton also thanked everyone for coming while her hit single, "Stars are Blind" was played by DJ Vice.


Paris was also seen at the Turning Leaf Lounge where a private dinner was held for her, where she invited friends to join her to discuss her new movie, The Hottie and the Nottie. Describing it as a "cute love story," the movie was not at the festival.


Also in attendance was actress and singer Taryn Manning and DJ and record producer Steve Aoki. All the guests enjoyed Turning Leaf wine during the party.


Showing up once again at Sundance, Paris and Nicky Hilton joined together and enjoyed the MySpace Nights at TAO party. With two nights of invite-only concerts, Maroon 5 and 50 Cent both performed, as well as DJ Samantha Ronson who provided music.


Cute couple Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian enjoyed the events at Sundance as they attended the MySpace Nights at TAO party. Newly pregnant Jessica Alba and fiance Cash Warren were another couple also in attendance as they cuddled and enjoyed the performance by 50 Cent.
